RSRPD’s Junior Lifeguard program introduces youth to the fun and rewarding job of protecting and saving lives at the pool. This dynamic summer program provides participants with an introduction to water safety, scanning & surveillance techniques, victim recognition, water rescue skills, and basic CPR/First Aid training. Register for multiple weeks, as each session will showcase a new theme. Bring a snack, water, sunscreen, swimsuit, towel and googles. Junior Lifeguards have the added benefit of enjoying Open Swim from 1-3pm at no extra charge. A fantastic opportunity to apply their newly acquired skills and further enhance their aquatic experience.

Required age: 10 - 14 on the day of the activity

Notes: Bring a snack, water, sunscreen, swimsuit, towel and googles.

Prerequisites: Pre-requisite: Must be able to swim 100 yards (four laps) comfortably, tread water for one minute and exit the pool without using ladder or steps.
