Spooky, weird and wonderful are just a few words to describe the Strange Science that will be going down in the studio this Summer. We welcome aspiring scientists to join us for a week of questions, observations and discovery. Let’s get strange!

Highlights:

• Use oil, water, food colouring and alka seltzer tablets to create your own lava lamp

• Observe sodium iodide reacting with hydrogen peroxide to create elephant toothpaste

• Learn about the distortion of perception through optical illusions

• Watch edible crystals grow with a homemade rock candy experiment

• Take a trip to the Vancouver Aquarium to discover the wild and wonderful creatures of the ocean
