**This session also includes a Rise t-shirt. The color will be based on what team they are on and they will wear the shirt on the day of the tournament. Three essential components of learning and motivation are woven throughout the program: Mastery comes through the patience and perseverance as each athlete learns to explore the game and what their teammates and opponents are challenging them to do. Purpose is driven by autonomy, as each athlete comes into the gym with a different purpose — a different “WHY” — for being there. We show them how to mesh these why’s together to create a purpose for each team they play on, each day they are there.Mar 26th - Apr 30th
PLAY+ is an opportunity for 7-12th graders to explore the game of volleyball through a variety of fun games, skill development, and being on a team.
*The difference with this league, and it being plus, is that athletes will be put on teams of 8 and given a 17 or 18 year old National Player from our program that will be their coach with assistance and direction from our assistant director. They will work on skills as a whole group but have a main focus of playing different games with their assigned teams and coach. At the end of the session we will have a Tuesday tournament on April 30th from 4-6pm that will allow the athletes to play other teams and have a fun tournament experience. It is a requirement that all players are able to play in the April 30th from 4-6pm tournament.
Autonomy is given to each athlete through allowing their voice to be heard, their needs to matter, and their opinion to be incorporated into the daily activities.
