But how many of us have heard of Sofonisba Anguissola, Judith Leyster, Elizabeth Vigee Le Brun, Tamara De Lempicka, Mary Cassatt or Frida Kahlo? Throughout history men have dominated the world of work in general and the arts in particular. But women have made great contributions. This series will focus on some of these women, their lives and times, as well as their art.
