City of Kelowna staff will provide tips for managing your yard in our arid climate, including maintenance advice and plant recommendations that reflect our beautiful Okanagan landscape. We will also cover native plants and trees that are critical for our local pollinators and other wildlife. Waterfront and hillside property owners are encouraged to attend to learn about bylaws in place to protect property from erosion and enhance our ecosystems, such as the Tree-Cutting Permit process to replace trees, and options for maintaining these "No Disturbance Areas".
