This discussion will focus on the geological evolution of British Columbia and the relationship between tectonic forces and the development of mineral deposits. We will talk about the history of prospecting, gold rushes, mining booms, and how they influenced development in the province. Finally, we will discuss the modern exploration and mining industry in British Columbia and its importance to the provincial economy.

Cary is the Regional Geologist for the South-Central Region of British Columbia. He provides expertise to industry, government, academia, and the public for this region.  Presented via Zoom
