Description:

Learn basic crochet shape-making and amigurumi techniques in this class, such as:

  • Reading Patterns
  • Invisible decrease
  • Increase
  • Magic Ring
  • Sewing 3D pieces
  • Attaching safety eyes and embroidering yarn eyes
  • Stuffing
  • Colour changes
  • Crochet in the round
  • Finishing

You will make an Amigurumi Bee using many yarn thicknesses.

Skills required to take this class: Crochet basics, including slip knot, chaining and single crochet.

Supplies needed:

  1. Yellow, Black and WhiteYarn (optional scrap of Pink) can “bee" any thickness. Medium #4, Bulky #5, or Super Bulky #6) as long as all the colours are the same thickness.
  2. Crochet Hook: 3mm for Medium #4 yarn 4mm for Bulky #5 yarn 6mm for Super Bulky #6 yarn     
  3. yarn needle, stitch markers, scissors
  4. Polyfil stuffing - if you don't have any, it can be purchased at the class for a small fee,
  5. Safety eyes 8,10,12 mm depending on the size of yarn or black embroidery floss for eyes.
