Description:
SMLI's Children's Gardening Workshop returns this spring! Get ready to get your hands in the dirt as we learn about what humans grow in it. Fruits versus veggies, flowers, seeds, mushrooms, and pollinators will all be discussed in this truly hands-on workshop! Children will receive their very own Garden Journal to record information and observations from class and track their gardens' progress. They'll also take home their own seedlings to grow vegetables at home!
Available: 15/15
Price: $400.00 Taxes waived
Required age: 7+ on the day of the activity
Notes: Make sure to wear clothing that can get dirty. You never know where class will be or how dirty we'll get as we learn about and grow vegetables here at SMLI! All produce will be harvested by the class and donated to a Plant-A-Row, a Port Washington-based food pantry.
Prerequisites: Child must be in at least Kindergarten.
More information: Please note: Cost is for all 8 classes.
