Thursday Flag Football offers young players a chance to develop and play in a fun, safe and non-contact environment. Staff coaches begin with a short practice before playing a game where everyone gets a chance to catch and run the ball. Throughout the season, football players will be taught the fundamentals of throwing, receiving, rushing, and defense as they rotate between offense and defense. From the two week skills practice to the draft, we make the football players feel like they’re in the pros! Staff coaches play quarterback to ensure equal playing time and ensure all players have the opportunity to succeed, regardless of their abilities. A second coach runs the defense offering encouragement and instruction from the field. Our games are high energy, with lots of touchdowns, and a perennial parent favourite!

** Outdoor cleats are recommended. Football gloves are allowed, but not required.

** Season will start with two weeks of skills (Sep 30 & Oct 7). Teams will be assigned after week 2. Weekly game times will be as early as 5pm and as late as 6:40pm. (see https://soccer-world.ca/schedules-football/ for exact times).

Notes: COVID rules are outside our control and may change without notice. Spectators may or may not be allowed indoors. Participants and spectators may or may not have to wear masks. Sessions may be cancelled due to COVID cases. Facility may be closed due to capacity restrictions, lockdowns or other measures. NO REFUNDS for missed sessions including illness, close contact with positive case, quarantine or refusing to wear masks. Partial CREDITS will be issued if government lockdown results in more than 3 weeks missed.
