Swimmers in the preschool 1 level must be 3-5 years old. This lesson is unparented.

Progression is based on the successful completion of all performance criteria.

These preschoolers will have fun learning to get in and out of the water!

Note: we encourage the parent to participate until their child lets them know they can do it themselves.

Prerequisites: Preschool 1 prerequisite skills: 1. Entry from sitting position (assisted) 2. Exit the water (assisted) 3. Blow bubbles on and in water 4. Face wet and in water 5. Attempt to recover object below surface 6. Entry from sitting position wearing PFD and return (assisted) 7. Front float (face in) – assisted 8. Back float (assisted) 9. Kicking on front and back (assisted) 10. Surface passes with continuous contact
