Exciting News!

  • In order to help students to break free from pricey and limited expandable proprietary hardware and software,  we have gone thru multiple iterations to find the least expensive, but balance with versatility, reliability, and expandability.

  • More advanced platform

  • With FAR LOWER COST hardware but with MUCH HIGHER expandability

Overall Characteristics:

  • Learning materials:

    • Involves full automation in all levels.

    • All projects position mathematics as a thinking tool.

    • Divided by students' levels, not age.

    • Approximately 80% software development (text-based programming), 20% mechanical development.

    • Focus on active learning and higher order of thinking; and strongly adhered to the engineering process

    • Structured with Application-based, Open-ended Challenges, but Goal-oriented.

  • Math application involves:

    • Introduction to Algebra to higher for upper levels

    • Rudimentary in Geometry to Trigonometry for upper levels

  • Reports:

    • ONLINE reporting system to reflect daily progress.

  • Competitive content:

    • Foremost : focus on building robust engineering process learning habit, programming skills in Level II, and basic mechanical foundation.

    • Mini-challenges and contests throughout the course of the programs.

    • Advanced Level II students will gain eligibility to join SR’s competition groups for the following school year.

Facilitate opportunities for students to  reach their full potential. Students advance to their higher levels at any time - within the same week, or in later weeks if students sign-up for multiple weeks.

  • Level B: Exploratory.

    • Beginner level.. Shows some understanding in the topics (able to recall syntax, & somewhat self-conduct the rudimentary engineering process.

  • Level I:

    • Able to exercise basic semantics & apply a single level of abstraction and control structure.   Able to conduct level I equivalent projects, but still require a considerable amount of guidance.

  • Level II:

    • Apply 2+ levels of abstraction & control structures. Start to involve more computational thinking with geometry and algebra. Continue to train students to conduct projects with higher order of thinking and analysis.

  • Level II+
    • Usually Level II students will join the pre-competition group in the Fall.

Hardware:

🚀 Empower Your Journey with PICO/Arduino! 🌟  Break free from limited proprietary hardware and software and Discover versatility, reliability, and expandability

💡 Students invest $140 (for up to Level I)  to $250 (for Level II+)  for their materials. You will receive email notification and charged when students are ready to take the robots home. Yes, they are for them to keep.

🔧 Storming Robots handles the purchase process. Parts sourced directly from reliable vendors.

🛠️ Reliable vendors list provided for your future replacement if necessary.

🔍 Continuous enhancements ensure expandability and up-to-date support available.

💰 Cost-effective solutions with unmatched potential for compatibility and expandability
