Description:

Have a desire to learn or refine sailing skills & knowledge?  This is an adult beginner/intermediate sailing class for those with limited or no experience.  Small group classes are taught in a 20' fiberglass keelboat with an experienced instructor. Learn to rig, steer, trim and land a medium-sized sloop. Gain confidence navigating through Casco Bay and handling a sailboat in varied wind/water conditions. Bring a snack, meet new friends and enjoy the sunset from the water!

age 18+

Class size is limited to 4/5 people.

Choose your day/class and meet one evening per week for 7 weeks. Tuesday class 5;30-7;30pm, Wednesday class 1-3pm Thursday class 5:30-7:30pm.

Classes that are canceled due to weather will be rescheduled by your instructor.  NO DROP IN CLASSES - THANKS!   : )

Required age: 18+ on the day of the activity

Notes: Emergency contacts, medical information, insurance #s, and liability waiver forms must be completed online in Amilia by each student's parent/guardian before their first class. Students are asked to bring their own US Coast Guard approved life vest with a whistle attached (or borrow one of ours), foul weather gear and a water bottle. Classes will meet rain or shine, but students will remain on shore in dangerous weather. Our instructors’ 2024 class placement assignments for last year’s sailors are available.
