*This program is only available to students enrolled at PS 290. If the Olympics were held for animals, what would the events be? In this exciting hands-on exploration of the animal kingdom, we will be introduced to some LIVE animal athletes from around the world and figure out if they would win a gold medal! We will examine the body parts of amazing swimmers, jumpers, climbers and diggers then investigate how these awesome adaptations help animals survive in their specific habitats. Discover which creatures might not be the fastest, slowest, tallest, or smallest but are some of the most important animals on earth. As we discover the unique features of the most amazing animal champions of the world, we will take that knowledge and design our own award-winning Animal Athletes!
