Open Studio (5-12yrs)

Description:

Drop in at any pre booked hour that suits your schedule during the 3 hour class duration.

The class allows for up to 4 hours of studio time per month to be used however you see fit during the month. If you do not use up your 4 hours, you may roll your hours over to use at another time. (Please note that rolled over hours are negotiated at the teacher's discretion and recommendation for each student's needs).

Your child will be introduced to a variety of tools and techniques to build on their personal skill set and gain confidence as a young artist. In this class, your child will work one on one with the instructor to tailor their studio time to their interests and ability. This class allows students to either be directed by the instructor or be self-led in their goals.

Your child will:

• Learn how to master an array of tools and mediums
• Learn independent strategies for self-guidance in artmaking
• Be exposed to a variety of artists and artistic practices
• Experience art theoretical components, for example: colour theory.
• Learn about contemporary art & traditional or cultural art theory
