Dancers will build their love of dance through creative imagery while beginning the journey to learning important fundamentals that will carry with them throughout further ballet training. This class will follow the RAD Pre-Primary syllabus . This class is advised for 6 year old students Please contact us if you have questions about placement.

If you are new to the Accelerated Program and are interested in joining, please contact the Admissions Coordinator at info@theartsconservatory.ca prior to registering, to determine correct placement into our classes.

Your child will develop the following skills in this class:

• Foundations of ballet technique through age appropriate syllabus training such as and introduction to proper turn out, understanding how to point their feet, beginning of transfer of weight, petite allegro, and large jumps.
• Understanding of musicality
• Memory recall of specific exercises and being able to perform them independently

Notes: GIRLS dress code: lavender bodysuit with attached skirt, ballet tights, Lily ballet slippers (pink) BOYs dress code: black fitted shorts, white fitted t-shirt, white socks, Lily ballet slippers (black)

Prerequisites: Students enrolled in Primary 1 Ballet (AP) are strongly encouraged to also enroll in a second class of your choice in either the Foundations or Accelerated Programs.
