Description:

In this eclectic and diverse studio class, young students will get a full immersive art experience. They will explore techniques and materials relating to Printmaking, Collage, Sculpture, Painting & Drawing. While making projects that embody student centred creativity in the art classroom, students will also be exposed to art theory concepts in an age appropriate way.

Your child will:

• Learn to build up their skills while understanding art theory and history.
• Work in an array of mediums and styles.
• Learn about artists and how they relate to artmaking in the studio.
• Learn how to create a portfolio & put together an art show.

*Graduation includes an art show for families and the public.

*Certificate from the school for completing the entire yearlong course.

*Receive an art portfolio for storing artworks.

Broken into three sections:

Sept-Jan: Drawing & Painting: Landscape, figures, still life, abstract.

Feb-Mar: Printmaking & Collage:
Collage: Paper, Photo or Mixed Media
Printmaking: Relief, Intaglio or Screen.

April-June: Sculpture: Clay, Paper Mache or Assemblage.
