Description:

This exciting vocal class will help lay the foundations for students to learn singing technique, while helping young singers build their repertoire and appreciation for their instrument. Vocal training will focus on strengthening breath control, expanding vocal range, developing musical style, learning musical theory, and improving performance techniques. Students will get the chance to practice a proper warm-up, learn a plethora of songs in the musical theatre songbook, and practice solos, duets, and group numbers. Our vocalists will perform in a Spring Showcase at the end of the semester, where they will highlight everything they have learned this spring.

Required age: 6 - 12 on the day of the activity

Notes: We will not have class on 1/15, 2/19, and 3/25 per the BVSD calendar. This class will perform in the Spring Showcase. Dress rehearsal - 4/26 Performance - 4/27 This class will not meet over BVSD spring break! Cancellation Policy: More than 30 days out from the beginning of class participants will receive a full credit for the class. There are no refunds. 30 days or less from the start of class, participants will receive a 50% credit and no refunds. Credits are only valid for 6 months.
