Description:

This dance class is for students from ages 10-14, who have expressed basic knowledge of technique and choreography for the stage. To deepen their understanding of musical theatre dance, we will focus on a wide variety of jumps, leaps, and turns. We will also emphasize concepts such as flexibility, extension, balance, contraction and release, fall and recovery, swing, and momentum. In preparation for the showcase at the end of the semester, intermediate choreography will be incorporated into the class that will challenge and expand the growth of the dancer. Dance attire - leotard, tights, warm up clothing, jazz shoes.

Required age: 10 - 14 on the day of the activity

Notes: This class will perform in the Spring Showcase. Dress rehearsal - 4/26 Performance - 4/27 This class will not meet over BVSD spring break! Cancellation Policy: More than 30 days out from the beginning of class participants will receive a full credit for the class. There are no refunds. 30 days or less from the start of class, participants will receive a 50% credit and no refunds. Credits are only valid for 6 months.
