Waxwings is for the creative & expressive young person. For the thinkers and dreamers, the readers and writers, the doodlers & crafters. This program is designed to help kids channel their energy and creativity in a space that is safe for them to be themselves. Waxwings will gently encourage self expression and acceptance through arts based activities, group connection and establishing a healthy co-existence with the natural world. Together we’ll be a museum of Waxwings.

What to Expect

Waxwings offers a flexible weekly option for new and experienced outdoor schoolers. We may spend our days working with natural inks and dyes or maybe we spend the day out on the land with our favourite books, pads & field guides..  Generally, days are filled with awareness games, cooperative projects and creative focus time. Kids are supported through an inclusive environment where there is enough space for all voices and experiences to be heard and shared.

Price: $567.00 Taxes waived

Required age: 10 - 14 on the day of the activity

Notes: * Drop off is between 8:45am and 9:15am * Pick up is between 3:45 and 4:15pm, at the latest. * If you arrive late (past 9:15am), please escort your child to program and make contact with a staff member before leaving. Please send your child with: - a filled and durable water bottle, snacks and lunch for the day and clothes equal to the weather. Trial Sessions are an option - for up to two (2) weekly sessions.  Simply register, and if the program isn’t a fit, GOS will provide a full refund minus fees for the days attended.  Once a third session is attended, we consider a registration fee to be final for the chosen trimester. Cancellation Policy. Should a cancellation be requested before a program start, we can offer a full refund minus the cost of one day of program to recover administrative fees. After 2 weeks of attendance, commitment to fees is considered final, and GOS is not obligated to offer refunds or credits for that trimester.
