Description:

In Learn to Foil, students will begin by balancing on a paddleboard and learning to tow safely at a distance behind the powerboat. After students consistently demonstrate the ability to tow and balance on the paddleboard safely, they will transition to towing behind the powerboat on a foil board. 

Later in the session, once participants have mastered balance on the foils, they will be given a wing and instruction on how to use wind to get on the foils by themselves. Students should expect to be consistently challenged and fall into the water lots as they learn to balance on the boards.

Required age: 12 - 17 on the day of the activity

Notes: Students should come dressed in their swimsuit, and wear close-toed shoes. We will provide wetsuits, helmets, and lifejackets. Students should bring a refillable water bottle and sun protection including sunglasses and a hat.

Prerequisites: This class is for Teens who have high levels of water comfort.
