Description:

Play Ultimate! This youth travel Ultimate program in collaboration with the Boston Ultimate Disc Alliance (BUDA) is designed for all students, including those new to Ultimate and experienced Ultimate players. Coaches teach Ultimate skills, strategy, rules and how to respect others on the field through drills games and activities.

Players will be divided into age and skill appropriate groups that will practice together and play games against groups from other area BUDA groups.

If enough girls register and are interested, there will be a girls only group. 

 

Mid-week practice sessions will focus on skill development including throwing, catching, cutting and defense and basic team strategy. Sunday afternoon sessions will be games against other area BUDA groups with approximately half of the games taking place in Brookline and half taking place in nearby towns within a 30-45 minute drive. BUDA also plans to organize 1-2 half-day tournaments. 

 

Each player will receive a jersey and a disc as part of their registration. Cleats are recommended for all Ultimate players and will be required for the more experienced/older group of players. 

 

Ultimate frisbee is a non-contact team field sport that emphasizes sportsmanship and self-officiating, with play at youth, college, and national and international levels.
