LEVEL 4: Stroke Improvement

The purpose of this level is to develop confidence in the skills learned and improves upon other aquatic skills.

This class is for swimmers that are deep water safe and ready for stroke improvement.

 

Participants MUST be able to:

• Completed the skills of Level 3

 

Participants will focus on performing the following skills:

• Headfirst entry from the side in compact and stride positions
• Surface dives
• Swim front crawl and backstroke for a minimum of 25 - 50 yards each with open turns
• Tread water using multiple types of kicks
• Swim breaststroke, sidestroke and butterfly for a minimum of 15 - 25 yards each
• Dolphin kick and scissors kick for a minimum of 15 yards each

 

Participants must be able to complete the above skills comfortably with confidence and consistency to move to Level 5.
