Description:

LEVEL 2: Fundamental Aquatic Skills

The purpose of this level is to give participants success with fundamental skills.

This class is for swimmers that are ready to perform skills independently.

 

Participants MUST be able to:

• Complete the skills of Level 1

 

Participants will focus on performing the following skills INDEPENDENTLY:

• Bobbing
• Entering and exiting the pool in deep water
• Front and back float
• Front and back glide
• Roll front to back and back to front
• Combined arm and leg motion for a minimum of 10-15 yards
• Swim on front and back for a minimum of 10-15 yards
• Beginning concepts of treading water using arm and leg movements
• Must be willing and comfortable to be in deep water

 

Participants must be able to complete the above skills comfortably with confidence and consistency to move to Level 3.
