Description:

LEVEL 3: Stroke Development

The purpose of this level is to build on skills in Level 2 through additional guided practice in deeper water.

This class is for swimmers that are ready to perform skills independently in deep water.

 

Participants MUST be able to:

• Completed the skills of Level 2

 

Participants will focus on performing the following skills INDEPENDENTLY in DEEP WATER:

• Jumping into deep water from the side of the pool
• Sitting and kneeling dives from the side of the pool
• Swim on front with rotary breathing for a minimum of 15 – 25 yards in deep water.
• Swim backstroke & elementary backstroke for a minimum of 15 – 25 yards in deep water.
• Dolphin kick and scissors kick for a minimum of 15 yards each.

Participants must be able to complete the above skills comfortably with confidence and consistency to move to Level 4.
