Supplies Included Description: Get Spring Ready! Join our very own Cottage Gardener, Janet Melrose, at our Spring Market for a fun & engaging workshop! Children love to grow vegetables! There is nothing like eating produce that you have grown yourself and children love to snack on that which they have sown, tended and harvested by themselves!! Not only that but it is a great way to develop food literacy about the food that we eat everyday. In this one-hour session, we will explore the plant parts that we commonly eat from carrots that are roots to tomatoes that are really fruit. Then determine what the growing requirements are for plants to grow successfully.
