Description:
A popular style of dance with roots in Black American culture, hip hop encompasses a wide umbrella of techniques known as "street dance" because of their origin in major cities rather than in private studios. Hip hop dance as a whole is characterized by bounces, rocks, isolations, and freestyle. All of our Primary classes focus on building strength, coordination, flexibility, memory, and confidence through movement. Hip hop classes will also help dancers develop rhythm, stamina, and agility while using movement for self-expression. Each class will include both technique practice and rehearsal for an informal in-studio performance at the end of the session.
