2 DAY WORKSHOP Working from the live model, learn Susan Porges' Pastel Portrait techniques, beginning with a sepia pastel underpainting, and then building the form with a variety of soft and hard pastels to create life-like flesh tones. With the use of hand-outs and demo's , Susan will walk you through the basics of facial structure in order to gain a better understanding of the bones, musculature and features, as well as to create a close likeness of the model. Susan will demonstrate her technique step by step and will continue to at intervals throughout the 2 days, as well as give continuous individual instruction at each easel. Experience with pastels is necessary. Previous portrait experience is helpful, but not required! You can find examples of Susan Porge's work here.
