Light, line, shading, tonal quality and composition will be used to unlock the student’s creativity. Join artist and teacher Linda Merchant Pearce for this class designed to provide artists of all abilities and experience with drawing skills, the basis for all visual arts. Acquire techniques that will help you build a foundation for continued development in all art mediums. Materials: Set of drawing pencils in a range of hardnesses Pad of sketch or drawing paper (copy paper or newsprint NOT recommended) Kneaded eraser The following are optional but can enhance your experience: Strathmore Toned paper Derwent drawing pencils (I use Ruby Earth for most, feel free to get the colors you prefer) General’s white charcoal pencil Prismacolor Ebony pencil Any other drawing materials you would like to experiment with.
