Gardens, no matter how small, are great places for children to learn about life, boost creativity, develop hands-on skills, and learn about the intricacies and wonders of nature!

Join instructor Sangeeta Thomas on a walk and talk through VanDusen Botanical Garden, where you will gain an understanding of what elements children enjoy the most in a garden, which plants they delight in and want to nurture, as well as ways to include your child in your garden maintenance while having fun. A plant list will be provided.

Sangeeta currently works at the VBGA as a Senior Environmental Educator, where she is thrilled to run school field trips, teaching kids of all ages about many topics in VanDusen Garden! Previously, she ran a children’s garden club and worked as the head gardener at Earthwise gardens, giving tours for community children's groups.

Please note this is an Adult Education class (not a Family or Children’s program).

Meet at the Visitor Centre and enter the Garden as a group. The entire session is spent outdoors, rain or shine.
