Gather with your neighbours to socialize while enjoying new art experiences with local artist, Tracy Franks. Over 10 classes, we will explore different art forms and create art pieces to take home or to give as a gift. No previous art experience required, and all materials and tools will be supplied so just bring your enthusiasm!

 

We will explore the arts of:

• Scandinavian inspired Needle Felting
• Design a collection of hand built ornamental clay birds.
• Painting techniques with watercolour and acrylic paints: exploring colour combinations, transparency of light, capturing shadows & cast shadows, still-life paintings, landscapes.
• Drawing techniques with charcoal, chalk pastels and pencil: working with value & scale, contour & gesture drawing, perspective & canon laws of the human form, portraiture.
