Description:

Learn various multimedia techniques with hands-on projects that focus on essential skills in both two dimensional and three dimensional artworks. Young artists will have the opportunity to explore vast and varied processes of sculpture and mixed media materials.

Natasha Loewy (she/her) lives and works in Oakland, California. She received a BFA from The San Francisco Art Institute in 2008, a Single Subject Teaching Credential in Art from Mills College in 2012, and an MFA in Art Practice from San Francisco State University in 2022. She is a recipient of the Cadogan Contemporary Art Award and has exhibited locally at galleries such as SOMArts, the Marin County Civic Center, The Great Highway, Southern Exposure, Root Division, and Hit SF. She has taught art in schools as well as in youth art programs throughout the Bay Area. She is one of three members of MUZ, a Bay Area based art collective focused on a collaborative studio and curatorial practice.

Prerequisites: This course is only available to 4th and 5th grade students.
