Description :

In this dynamic and engaging program, we will harness the power of emotions and artistic expression to delve into the profound themes of anti-discrimination, cultural diversity, inclusion, and multiculturalism. Through a series of carefully crafted activities like arts, crafts, music, dancing, sports, discussions, and creative projects, students aged 10 to 30 will embark on a transformative journey that fosters empathy, appreciation, and respect for individuals from all walks of life.

Here's what our weekly sessions will entail:

  • Emotional Mapping: Each session will begin by exploring the spectrum of emotions associated with various cultural experiences and instances of discrimination. Through guided discussions and reflective exercises, students will learn to recognize, understand, and empathize with the emotions of others, laying the foundation for meaningful connections and mutual respect.

  • Artistic Expression: Harnessing the power of creativity, students will engage in a range of art and craft activities that serve as vehicles for self-expression and storytelling. From painting and sculpting to poetry, learning simple words in new languages (English & French) and theater, students will have the freedom to explore diverse mediums and narratives, giving voice to their thoughts, experiences, and dreams.

  • Cultural Showcases: Each session will feature a spotlight on a different culture, allowing students to immerse themselves in its rich history, traditions, and customs. Through interactive presentations, music, dance, and healthy meals, students will gain a deeper appreciation for the beauty and diversity of our global community, fostering a sense of curiosity and openness towards different cultures.

  • Collaborative Projects: Working together towards a common goal, students will participate in collaborative projects that promote teamwork, communication, and mutual understanding. Whether it's creating a mural, organizing a cultural festival, having the participants engage in team sports like basketball, table tennis, board games, etc students will learn the value of cooperation and solidarity in building inclusive communities.

  • Reflection and Action: At the conclusion of each session, students will have the opportunity to reflect on their experiences, insights, and personal growth. Through guided reflections and action planning, students will identify tangible ways to champion diversity, challenge discrimination, and create positive change in their schools and communities.

By combining emotional intelligence with the transformative power of art and creativity, "Emotional Mapping: A Journey through Art and emotions" offers a unique and impactful approach to promoting anti-discrimination, cultural diversity, inclusion, and multiculturalism.

Together, we can embark on a journey towards a more just, equitable, and harmonious world.
