Description :
A one day workshop to explore the world of Alcohol Inks with Sketchy Artist & retired educator Linda McNine! Alcohol Ink provides a medium for creating art of your choosing. You will be able to create stunning abstracts using one or multiple alcohol inks, by creating layers . You may choose to manipulate your materials to create whatever you desire: landscapes, flowers, or abstracts. The fluidity of the inks resembles watercolor, at times. Inks can be applied to non-porous things, so come experiment and find an art medium that is beautiful and requires no specialized skills, is easy to set up and clean up and is fun. Materials to bring-- Note- Please bring what you have. Your instructor will bring materials as well to share. Unless you have inks and paper supplies at home, you do not need to purchase for this class. Come, create and enjoy the company of other like-minded people. Paper towels 91% alcohol Latex gloves Alcohol Inks ( if you have) Glossy Photo paper/ Yupo paper/ Duralar (if you have) Non-porous materials, if you have Examples: glass pane, tiles, switch plates Narrative from Fine Artamerica.com “There are few more colorful or dynamic designs than when the artist uses alcohol ink. The results are an explosion of form and color as the rich pigments spread across the alcohol medium. If you like bold colors and abstract designs this style may be for you.” Alcohol Ink Art Community wrote: “Alcohol ink is a vibrant breathtaking art medium that is growing in popularity in the art world. No other medium provides the fluid and flow than alcohol ink. Warning, once you had a chance to work with alcohol ink you will be hooked. It’s an addictive medium that offers something for artists at all levels to create wonderful vivid art.”
