This workshop provides an opportunity for parent (adult) and child to explore colors using alcohol inks.

It is suggested that the child be at least seven years old to participate and that each parent be an active collaborator with their child.

Alcohol ink is a medium that may be unfamiliar. Its flow is similar to water- color and may be applied with a brush; however, droplets from a small plastic bottle are applied to a non-porous material and flow occurs by rotating paper or using straws or other means to blow the ink . This creates a layering effect that enhances shades and blending of colors while making interesting designs.
