FIBArk, Salida Parks and Recreation, and RMOC have teamed up to bring you this advanced kayaking course as part of FIBArk's Community Paddling Program.

  • So you are comfortable in class II water but are looking to step up your game. This course is designed to take you there. Topics covered will be jet ferries, catching micro eddies, rolling in current, and advanced strokes. Learn how to make easy whitewater more exciting and challenging by making moves in faster current and through slalom gates.

Equipment is provided, including all kayaking gear and dry equipment/wetsuits. Participants may bring their own kayak, PFD, and helmet and are allowed to use them if they meet the instructor's standards.

Âge requis : 13 à 18 au jour de l'activité

Notes : Wear river appropriate clothing that is quick-dry and will fit under a wet suit. Avoid cotton. For your comfort, we recommend to bring dry clothes to change into after each session. Bring snacks, lunch, and water bottle. Check-in will be at RMOC - located at 23850 US Hwy 285, Buena Vista, CO 81211 Participants will be shuttled with instructors to river put in and back to RMOC from river take out.

Prérequis : Closed-toed shoes that will stay on while swimming is required. Level 3 ACA kayak course or comparable experience. Participants should have a mostly consistent flatwater roll.
