Description :

Students will learn to warp and weave on a Schacht 15” Cricket Rigid Heddle loom. They will weave a cotton, rayon, or acrylic blend scarf that will be woven a maximum of 7” wide and 72” long with 6” fringe on each end. The warps will be hand dyed by the instructors and students will have choices of weft yarn available. Students will warp the loom and begin the weaving process on Sunday, May 5, then will take their looms home to complete the weaving.
Students will return to the Craft Guild on the afternoon of Sunday, June 2 and will be instructed on finishing steps of their scarf; including removing the woven fabric from the loom, tying the fringe and wet finishing the scarf. Plus returning of the looms.

NOTE: Credit Card information will be collected from students for the period of checking out the
looms. No charges will be made unless the loom is not returned to the instructors.

Student tools & materials: ● Measuring tape ● Scissors ● Notepad & writing tool ● Calculator (in phone or otherwise)

There will be an hour lunch break on May 5.
