Join astronomer Jeri Jones for an introduction to how to view the night time sky using a star map and how to spot satellites. Jeri will use several computer apps to introduce you to stars, constellations and the Moon. The second half of the program will be spent outdoors viewing the sky (weather permitting) identifying the major constellations and brighter stars. You will also learn how the Moon moves through our sky and its phases over a month. Everyone will receive a star map and satellite locator list. Event will be heldregardless of the weather. The next clear night you can do your own sky identification.
