Description :
Supplement your child’s STEM education this winter with our After School Engineering Club. This 3-month course will cover Software and Robotics Engineering and will provide a fun, hand-on approach to virtual learning with a live instructor. The club meets each week for Apprentice Engineers in Grades 3-6. Cost: $150 monthly Schedule: Tuesdays at 3:30PM -5:00 PM over Zoom Video Dates: 12/1, 12/8, 12/15, 12/29, 1/5, 1/12, 1/19, 1/26, 2/2, 2/9, 2/16, 2/23 Curriculum: December – App Development - In this module students get to code, test, and create their own apps in real-time using an easy-to-understand format. Students will use Bitsbox, an app development platform, designed specifically for kids, that uses the Lua coding language. The best part about this program is that they’ll be able to save their created apps right to their (or your own) devices for play anywhere, anytime! January – February – Robotics Engineering - The CoderZ Adventure Course will teach students the basics of coding and robotics, an exciting interdisciplinary STEM field. The course is powered by CoderZ’s Online Robotics Learning Environment which provides online simulation, a visual code editor, embedded content, class management and more. No prior knowledge needed!
