Join Us for Pottery! – Hand-building! Sink your hands into the dirt and have fun learning how to make pottery. Whether you're looking for a way to relax, learn a new skill, just have fun, or a cool team building activity, learning to make pottery is an excellent choice. Guided by a local professional pottery artist, you will learn the basics of hand-building techniques, including pinch, coil, slab building and glazing. The class runs for 4 weeks and each 2-hour class is structured for you to learn a technique that will be paired with a project, which means you are creating pieces on day one. Some of the projects we work on include planters, bowls, coffee/tea mugs and bird houses. For students with some experience, we invite you to bring your ideas and we will do our best to help you create them into reality. Class includes all materials, tools, glazes and kiln firings.
