Aqua Camp is an opportunity for middle school students to get hands-on learning through an environmental education field experience at PEC. On day one, participants will examine the physical and chemical nature of water resources and focus on its suitability for human use. On day two, participants will examine the biotic components of local water resources as they collect and identify plants, invertebrates and fish commonly found in aquatic ecosystems. By the end of the program, participants will have gained an understanding of their impact on water resources and learn their responsibility for water resource stewardship.

Campers need to be dressed for outdoor activities and bring a lunch, two snacks and a water bottle.

Notes : Registration opens March 1 for the public. Friends of PEC may register early, beginning February 15 at 9 a.m. A Friends of PEC Family Membership is required for a child to register early.
