The Leaside Baseball Summer Camp helps kids learn, practice, and improve their baseball skills and grow enthusiasm for the sport in a friendly, safe, and encouraging environment. Our energetic coaches cover the fundamentals of baseball — throwing, fielding, and hitting — through a combination of drills, competitions, and games that emphasize sportsmanship, teamwork, and fair play.
You can find more information about camp on our website but here are a few things to know before you register:
Credit Use
If you have a credit with us, there are two options:
Register your athlete and complete the payment process in full. Then email programs@leasidebaseball.com to ask to apply the credit to your registration manually.
Email programs@leasidebaseball.com to confirm your credit and have it applied to your account prior to purchase of programs.
Friend Requests
There is a section in the registration form to request your child be placed in the same group as another camper. We’ll do our very best to honour all friend requests.
Lunch
Hot lunch options will be sent out at a later date.
Waitlist
If your preferred camp week is full, please add yourself to the waitlist. If a spot becomes available, you will receive an email notification from leasideleafsbaseball@gmail.com and have 24 hours to claim the spot before we move on to the next name on the waitlist.
Weather Concerns
A summer sprinkle certainly won’t ruin a camp day, but if the weather is stronger than that, we regret that we may need to cancel. Due to the cost of the permit for access to Leaside High School, we are not able to offer indoor programming on rainy days.
If it is raining before the start of camp and is expected to last all or most of the day, camp will be canceled. Parents will be notified by 8 am.
If it is raining before the start of camp but is NOT expected to last for the duration of the day, the camp will be open. Parents will be sent a communication by 8 am and can send their campers as they wish. Late arrivals will be directed to call the designated staff to meet them at the camp entrance for the check-in process.
If it is NOT raining before the start of camp BUT if it interrupts camp activities later in the day, campers will seek shelter in their respective group tents. If the rain lasts longer than 1 hour, camp will be canceled. Parents will be sent a communication to collect their camper within 30 minutes.
Refunds will be offered for full day rain day cancellations at the end of the summer.
Cancellation Policy
In the event you need to cancel the camper’s registration, a refund or credit may be available.
If written cancellation is made to programs@leasidebaseball.com by May 31st, 2024, a full refund is available minus a $25 administrative fee (per player and per week).
If written cancellation is made to programs@leasidebaseball.com after May 31st, 2024, a credit will be applied. Please note credits are subject to a $25 administrative fee (per player and per week) deducted from the total credit.
If you need to cancel due to health-related reasons, we will provide you with a credit valid for one calendar year and applicable to Leaside Baseball house league, camps or clinics.
In the event we are unable to run our summer camp for any reason, you will be provided a full refund.
