Nursery 2 BALLET

Welcome to the explore dance program. It is a wonderful opportunity for students to be introduced to dance at London. The sessions are 7 lessons in duration. They are available throughout the year starting in September through until August. 

The Nursery 2 Ballet syllabus teaches children the basics of ballet and dance. In addition to simple barre and centre practice exercises, the syllabus has creative themes to encourage class participation, focus, and confidence. Classes are designed specifically for the early development of physical motion, rhythm, and coordination. Children are guided through exercises and begin to develop a sense of poise. At the same time, they are encouraged to explore their own creative expression of music and dance movement. 

Uniform: 

The visual appearance of a dancer is as much a part of the art of Dance as the movement itself. Classroom attire is particularly important. It must allow the dancer complete freedom to experience movement while maintaining safety. It must also allow the instructor and observer the opportunity to view the alignment of the body and the movement itself. At the London School of Dance, we maintain a strict policy regarding the wearing of regulation uniforms and correct grooming. Please see below for the required uniform for this level.

Male Uniform:

• LONDON Leotard - White
• Leggings - Black
• Thin Ankle Socks - White
• Canvas Ballet Slippers - White

Prérequis : <ul> <li><span style="font-family: Arial;">Recommended for students between ages of 2-3 years old. The student must be able to walk unassisted and be toilet trained.</span></li> </ul>
