Primary BALLET

Welcome to the explore dance program. It is a wonderful opportunity for students to be introduced to dance at London. The sessions are 7 lessons in duration. They are available throughout the year starting September through until August. 

Primary focuses on coordination, large motor skill development, listening skills, and musical, and spatial awareness. Students through participation and practice will be able to articulate parts of the body and demonstrate awareness of positions of the body. They will be able to demonstrate control, coordination, elevation, and the use of appropriate movement dynamics. 

Uniform: 

The visual appearance of a dancer is as much a part of the art of Dance as the movement itself. Classroom attire is particularly important. It must allow the dancer complete freedom to experience movement while maintaining safety. It must also allow the instructor and observer the opportunity to view the alignment of the body and the movement itself. At the London School of Dance, we maintain a strict policy regarding the wearing of regulation uniforms and correct grooming. Please see below for the required uniform for this level.                      

Female Uniform:

• Leather Ballet Slippers - Pink

Male Uniform:

• LONDON Leotard - White
• Leggings - Black
• Thin Ankle Socks - White
• Canvas Ballet Slippers - White
