Assessment camp is offered the week of June 24-27 from 4pm-7pm. During this assessment camp we will be assessing potential competitive team members for the upcoming season.
Athletes will undergo assessment based on their physical and physiological characteristics to determine their group placement. The head coach will assign training groups in August, and any changes throughout the season will be solely at the discretion of the head coach.
Xcel Program: Xcel athletes will train 4-10 hours per week and attend 3-4 competitions per season. Xcel athletes will compete in levels bronze, silver, gold, platnium or diamond.
Compulsory Program (CCP levels 1-5): Compulsory level athletes will train 4-16 hours per week and attend 3-5 competitions per season. Qualified athletes in level 4 & 5 will have the opportunity to compete for a spot on the Atlantic team to represent our province. If your athlete makes team PEI they are required to attend championships and compete for our province.
Canadian Competitive Program (CCP levels 6-10): The minimum training requirement for level 6 and 7 is 12-16 hours per week. Level 8-10 athletes will train a minimum of 16 hours per week. Athletes in level 6-10 will have the opportunity to compete for a spot on the Atlantic team to represent our province. Athletes in levels 7-10 will have the opportunity to qualify for Easterns. Level 9 & 10 athletes will have the opportunity to qualify for nationals and represent our province at the Canadian Championships.
PLEASE NOTE: All competitive programs run throughout the summer. Each program has its own special requirements for summer training which may differ from season to season. There will be multiple weeks of camp offered each season and the minimum training requirement for each training group will be determined by the head coach. Summer training is mandatory in all programs.
Cost: $145
There is an additional $40 insurance fee for anyone who is not currently a member of Gymnastics PEI. No Refund will be given the week of the camp without a written medical certificate.

Q: When does camp start?
A: Camp starts at 4pm and finishes at 7pm
Q: Should I pack snacks for my child?
A: Parents should pack food for a healthy snack break (fruit, vegetables, cheese, granola bar) and a water bottle.
Q: When will I know if my child made the competitive team?
A: An email will be sent out to you by Friday July 5th if your child made or did not make the competitive team.
