PRESCHOOL LEVEL 2: Fundamental Aquatic Skills

The purpose of this level is to build on the skills learned in Preschool Level 1 and gives participants success with fundamental skills, such as floating and basic locomotion.

 

This class is for swimmers that are ready to perform skills independently.

 

Participants MUST be able to:

• Complete the skills of Preschool Level 1

 

Participants will focus on performing the following skills INDEPENDENTLY:

• Bobbing
• Entering and exiting the pool in deep water
• Front and back float with recovery
• Front and back glide with recovery
• Roll front to back and back to front
• Combined arm and leg motion for a minimum of 10 yards
• Swim on front and back for a minimum of 10 yards
• Beginning concepts of treading water using arm and leg movements

 

Participants must be able to complete the above skills comfortably with confidence and consistency to move to Preschool Level 3.
