Description :

Take your American Red Cross Water Safety Instructor course with us! Scholarships are available if needed. Successful completion of this course may lead to employment.

The course fee will be fully refunded after 11 continuous weeks of satisfactory employment as a Water Safety Instructor with the Tukwila Pool.

Students must be at least 15 years old by the final class date & complete the Online Learning Modules before the first day of class.

• Tuesday, June 25: 8:00 am - 4:45 pm
• Wednesday, June 26: 8:00 am - 4:45 pm
• Thursday, June 27: 8:00 am - 4:45 pm
• Friday, June 28: 8:00 am - 4:45 pm

Prérequis : To participate in the Water Safety Instructor course, individuals must: ¦ Be at least 15 years of age on or before the final scheduled lesson of this course. ¦ Demonstrate the ability to perform the following swimming skills: 1. Swim the following strokes consistent with the Stroke Performance Charts, Level 4 { Front crawl—25 yards { Back crawl—25 yards { Breaststroke—25 yards { Elementary backstroke—25 yards { Sidestroke—25 yards { Butterfly—15 yards 2. Maintain position on back for 1 minute in deep water (floating or sculling). 3. Tread water for 1 minute
