Description :
With a focus on plants, explore the native biodiversity on Bowen Island on a gentle walk along shaded forest trails. Led by former VBGA Education Director Gillian Drake, we will discuss our local ecosystems and identify native ferns, trees, and more. Tour will start at the library, 30m from the ferry dock (no car needed), and will finish in time to board the 1:15 pm ferry back to Horseshoe Bay. Consider making a day of it and visit Bowen’s many cafes, shops and galleries within walking distance of the ferry. This session is presented rain or shine. Online pre-registration is required. The cost of the ferry is not included in the price and registrants are responsible for their own ferry reservations Vancouver (Horseshoe Bay) - Bowen Island (Snug Cove) Status | BC Ferries.

Notes : Cancellation policy: No refunds will be given for education courses. For cancellations with one week's notice, a credit will be applied to your account. With less than a week's notice, no credit will be given. No new credit will be issued if the cancelled course was purchased using prior credit. Program cancellation by the VBGA due to Public Health Restrictions will result in education program credit equivalent to the value lost. Credits must be used within one year from the date issued. Please notify us of your cancellation in writing to learn@vandusen.org
Prérequis : Educational programs are available for both members and non-members. In order to register for a class, you first need to open an account with Amilia, our online registration portal.
