Tennis is a lifetime sport the whole family can play! In addition to fitness, tennis teaches life skills such as discipline, sportsmanship, self-reliance, and problem-solving. Classes are held by Coach Chip Fazio, a USPTA-certified Elite Professional. Each child should have a properly fitting youth racquet and a water bottle—racquets will be available for purchase.
Saturdays June 15 - July 20 at Ferndale High School tennis courts.

They are learning basic hand-eye coordination, agility, balance, and the rudiments of tennis technique. We are building better athletes at this stage and using fun games to keep them engaged. We also work on basic social skills, playing with others, taking turns, and keeping score.
7-10 years: Tennis strokes are beginning to be refined. We work on a greater variety of different shots, footwork, and tactics. Kids will play points in a variety of fun rally-based tennis games. They begin to learn traditional tennis scoring.
