A class for those who need special attention or consideration. Smaller class size (4:1) for your special needs child. We will do our best to adapt the program to meet your specific needs, so everyone can be included in gymnastics activities!

Ages 5 to 12 for now. Let us know if you have teens or young adults who could benefit from a class like this.

Gymnastics is an individual sport, and, as such, is inherently inclusive. That means each person learns at his/her own pace, and our coaches make an effort to adapt every activity around the student's physical, sensory, cognitive, emotional, and learning needs. We strive to help all children reach their potential.

Regular gymnastics classes can be adapted to include people with a physical or learning disability, sensory impairments or health conditions. But if you would prefer to start with dedicated classes, this option is for you. 

We offer small group sessions for those with adaptive needs. These classes will be tailored to accommodate the specific challenges of our own special needs population. Work is done on gross and fine motor learning. The focus on movement will help with coordination, balance, flexibility, and strength.

With smaller class sizes, cost is necessarily higher. We accept funding from any source or agency.

Note that our ratio is 4 to 1. If your child needs 1 on 1 this is probably not the best fit. We will consider enrolling them in this class on a trial basis if you are able to provide the 1 on 1 support yourself. A private lesson may be better, or contact the Canucks Autism Network for group classes where 1 on 1 support is provided/included. These CAN classes run at our gym periodically on Thursday evenings, but enrollment is through CAN.
