Start date: Thursday, January 4 2024.
Schedule:

Location: Room 2 - Computer Lab | 6530 S. Buffalo Dr., #115, Las Vegas, NV, 89113
Description:
Look no more for a fun, robust coding platform! We now use Code Combat/Ozaria to teach JavaScript through game-based quests! Our instructors will occasionally introduce and reinforce concepts to the whole class that the students will be practicing in their individual quests, but students will be allowed to progress at their own pace for the majority of the class. This is a web-based platform that students are even welcome to work on at home!
Mandatory membership(s):
Available: 10/12
Price: Starting from $128.00 /month
Required age: 7 - 14 on the day of the activity
Notes: Check-in/out Procedures: Students may be dropped off, but no earlier than 10 minutes before the scheduled start time. In case of early arrival, please stay and supervise your child until they are allowed to be officially checked-in. Please enter the building to check-out your child, and be prepared to show ID. Students should be picked up no later than 10 minutes after their scheduled end time. We bill $1 per minute for unsupervised children left with us outside of these 10 minute windows. Absence Procedure: If you need to miss class, please notify us by text or email at least one hour before start of class in order to receive a make-up pass. We can no longer give refunds or prorations for absences. Your registration fees secure your spot in this class and allow us to keep small student to teacher ratios. Make-up passes now expire after one month, and we do not save spaces in classes for make-ups, so please try to schedule your make-up class ASAP to avoid missing the opportunity to use your pass.
Prerequisites: Participants don't need to be able to type very well, but they should be comfortable with at least 3rd grade reading and writing in order to feel at ease with the project requirements. Students who can progress at a faster pace without much assistance are welcome to do the Coding Lab instead, where a coach is available to work with them one on one when they get stuck.
More information: If the session is full, please join the wait list, we will open another section of this class.
